Frequently Asked Questions

A purchase and sale agreement is a written agreement where a homeowner agrees to sell the property to a buyer. It describes the obligations of the seller and buyer and includes a number of important terms, including: the price and how the price will be paid; the earnest money deposit and how it is paid; title insurance requirements; default provisions; personal property that may be included; and other things.

Yes, not only to protect your interests as a seller or buyer of the home, but also because a real estate closing agent will not complete (or “close”) the sale without the parties having a written agreement in place.

No. In Washington state, only a written agreement to buy and sell real property is enforceable.

Generally, once we know the key terms of the sale, we can prepare the Purchase and Sale Agreement within two business days.

Generally, once we receive a complete copy of the Purchase and Sale Agreement prepared by a broker (including all referenced forms and addenda), we finish our review and provide a detailed analysis and recommended changes within two business days.

Sure! However, because agreements can vary so much, we will need to see the agreement in order to give you a quote on fees. Please click here to chat with our dedicated support team to request a quote.

Not necessarily. If you want to just add someone else “onto title,” or if you want to gift property to someone,  then you don’t need a purchase and sale agreement. Please contact our dedicated support team by clicking here or click here to be directed to our deed package page.
