Corporations
Corporations are the traditional entities used by business owners to shield their personal assets from third party creditors. Thousands of corporations are formed every year in Washington and Idaho, and they can be a very effective tool for the ownership and operation of your business. Corporations are owned by shareholders, who elect members of the board of directors. The board then appoints officers who run the day-to-day operations of the corporation. Like all entities, corporations require annual maintenance, including the paying of renewal fees to the Secretary of State’s office. The corporations must also hold annual meetings of the shareholders and meetings of the board of directors in accordance with the Bylaws.
Lucent Law offers a number of different Washington corporation formation packages, including industry packages designed to get your business successfully up and running. We typically file Articles of Incorporation with the Washington Secretary of State within one business day after you purchase your package and provide us with all required information.
